case study: the moon inn

beautiful, responsive website that won't break the bank

Company: The Moon Inn

What they do: The Moon Inn Freehouse is the last remaining public house in the historic and idyllic village of Stoney Middleton.

Set in the heart of Derbyshire, nestled in the breath taking Hope valley. The Moon Inn is a traditional country pub, surrounded by the stunning countryside of the Peak District National Park.

The pub has just undergone a comprehensive refurbishment, creating an interesting mix of rustic and modern interiors throughout, and will be offering luxury en-suite rooms in early 2016.

They offer a comprehensive wine list, real ales and home cooked food using locally sourced produce. There is also a beer garden, log burning stove and private parking.

The Brief:

The client Joy was in need of new branding and a website to showcase their pub, drinks, accomodation and to promote events. They wanted clean, simple, visually appealing branding and a website to match.

We came up with the visual identity that you can see and after brainstorming a few words decided to follow through the iconography throughout the site.

After researching the history pf the pub we discovered it was orginally a Posthouse in 1821 so decided to add this interesting fact to the logo.

The iconography has been developed to show a multitude of things including that the pub is dog friendly.

Social Media Feed: Joy also wanted the site to show up their latest facebook and instagram posts so we added an app that made this possible.

We also helped created the facebook and instagram pages for them.

Google analytics: As standard we enable google analytics for all our clients so they can track the number of visits to there website and which pages are gaining the most interest.
